The Municipality of Katwijk (The Netherlands) has been testing several LED-lighting technologies for several years in their Municipal parking structures. We have been testing several possibilities regarding the replacement of current Fluorescent Tubes with LED tube technologies that can be used in the same existing fixture, this fixture does however needs to be modified in order for the LED tubes to work. Most recently we discovered a total solution that consists of a new Fixture and LED light in one, the Premium Power LED, manufactured by Rentalite. The Premium Power LED is a complete fixture solution with a very sleek design that generates a fantastic light display. One of Katwijk’s parking garages (parking structure Princehaven) has been equipped with the Premium Power LED fixtures. We chose to upgrade our old fixtures with Rentalite’s new Premium Power LED fixtures all at once so we could maximize energy savings and C02 Reduction.

"The master structure is ready"

The official grand opening of parking garage Houtwal from the municipality of Harderwijk takes place on Friday, October 14. This round underground parking garage is ready for use after 2 years of intensive building.

Houtwal garage has a surface of 11.000m2 and 450 parking spaces. The municipality installed 650 Premium Power LED

fixtures in the garage. These dimmable energy saving Power LED lights from the Dutch company RentaLite creates an average lux level of 109. The municipality of Harderwijk has chosen the Premium Power LED Basic. This lamp is dimmable via a DIP switch in 4 positions 30-25-20-15 watts, so the saving of 65% can increase to 85%. The financial savings per year are over € 30,000 and 106,325 kg of CO2.

RentaLite has now already saved 1 life year of 93,312 trees

RentaLite keeps track of how many life years of trees they save by keeping track of the CO2 reduction by the number of lamps installed. For every 27 kg of CO2, which is being saved through the Premium Power LED, a tree would have to grow for one year.

This means that RentaLite, by installing 9000 Premium Power LED lamps, they saved 1 life year 93,312 of trees. This means that it runs continuously by the number of lamps sold, and the numbers of hours the lamps are lit.

First parking garage in Germany (Münster) upgrades their lighting system from T8 to Rentalite’s Premium Power LED

After a demo project in parking garage Bahnhofstrasse of the City of Munster (Germany) they decided to upgrade their system, one on one, (420 lamps) with the Premium Power LED. LED lighting designed for parking garages. WBI, the parking organization of the City of Munster, is experiencing the upgrade as ‘great light output, safe and in addition huge savings’.  

The first parking garage has been installed with the RentAlite Premium Power LED and will be opened in October. The second garage BremerPlatz is being installed at the moment.

Car park in Münster now has 65% energy savings on lighting.

The city of Münster is one of the first cities in Germany a unique scoop for durability. The car park at the Bahnhofstrasse is the greenest park in the city. In cooperation with the WBI group Stadwerke Münster has the most modern LED lighting from Rentalite.

These lights have a lifetime of 80,000 hours with savings of 65% and 85% compared to conventional fluorescent lighting, with dimming even more. Besides the energy and maintenance cost savings the Co2 savings are also huge. WBI saves per year, with the placement of 420 Premium Power LED lights, up to 35,000 euros and 170,000 kilowatts, which is 102,000 kilograms of CO2.

The project is a wonderful collaboration between the City of Münster, the

WBI and the Dutch LED technology company RentaLite from Enschede.

The intention of this lovely green savings also extends to more car parks and buildings throughout Germany.

Apollo Vredestein renovates dressing room with the Premium Power LED

The entire locker room of Apollo Vredestein has been renovated with the Premium Power LED from RentAlite. The current T8 fluorescent lighting is replaced for the energy-efficient LED lighting.

Apollo Vredestein chose to install in the hallways led lighting in lines that is continuously lit. The lighting in the side ways is featured with the Premium Power LEDs with dimming individual. This means that if an employee enters the room the fixtures turn on to a 100%.

Vredestein has chosen the energy efficient lights because of the savings and durability.

RentAlite is supplying energy-saving LED lighting in parking garage Oppidium in Amersfoort (The Netherlands)

Oppidium is with shops, housing, hotel and parking, the new project where the RentAlite Premium Power LED Lines will be installed.

The parking garage with 600 parking spaces will be provided with energy saving LED lighting, designed for parking garages that save 65%-85% on energy and Co2.

The municipality of Groningen has chosen the energy-efficient LED lighting from the Dutch firm RentAlite

In car park ‘Damsterdiep’ of the City of Groningen there will be 787 Premium Power LED luminaires from RentAlite installed. The parking garage will save 40% on energy and CO2, this equals a net saving $251,626 and 2,168.237 lbs. of CO2 in 9 years ($27,958 and 240,915 lbs. of CO2 per year).

On top of the energy and CO2 savings the Premium Power LED provides a much better light display in parking garage ‘Damsterdiep’. Also, the municipality does not suffer from chemical pollution such as T8 and T5 tubes, including mercury and phosphorus. In addition, the maintenance factor greatly is reduced because the LED strips are designed to provide years of powerful light. After the lifetime of the LED strip, 80,000 hours, is finished, a new LED strip (with the latest technology) can be purchased again to repeat it for another 80,000 hours, the robust fixture will last decades.

RentAlite Premium Power LED Lines Plus successful at Sevilla Airport

The RentAlite Premium Power LED Lines Plus have been installed at Sevilla Airport, AENA group, and is a great success. The LED lighting from RentAlite, which has been installed in many parking garages, is also very suitable for airports, stations, industrial buildings, cold storages and public spaces. At Sevilla Airport the Premium Power LEDs Plus are connected in long Lines as can be seen in the picture below.

Municipality of Enschede chose RentAlite's Premium Power LED lighting.

The municipality of Enschede The Netherlands opened up a new parking garage 'Brouwerij'. To illuminate the parking garage the City chose to install LED lighting fixtures from RentAlite. Not only generate these LED lights substantial financial savings, it is also good for the environment. The Premium Power LED light is a robust fixture and LED light in one, it contains no harmful substances such as phosphorus, mercury and lead, and gasses that damage our environment. The garage was officially opened to the public on March 1^st  and because of the installed Premium Power LEDs it became one of the first sustainable garages in the City.

Savings:
The Municipality of Enschede is saving US $25,000 and 150,575 lbs of CO2 annually by using the Premium Power LEDs of Rentalite. However, the savings are expected to be even biggerbecause the municipality of Enschede also installed Rentalite’s intelligent motion dimming systems. This means that the Premium Power LED only turns on when a car or person enters the garage. If there is no movement in the parking garage, the LED lights will switch off or dim down into a pre set dimming level. This not only leads to higher savings it also extends the lamp life.

After parking garage ‘Houtplein’ and ‘De Kamp’ the city of Haarlem added a third parking garage (Station) to its portfolio in which they also installed Rentalite's Premium Power LED lights. This project Does not require any investment from The city of Haarlem, because the Municipality of Haarlem leases the LED fixtures from Rentalite and it pays the monthly fee out the savings the Premium Power LEDs generate. These green lights the city of Haarlem chose for, saves 58% on light energy and CO2. City of Haarlem replaced its second parking garage with RentAlite’s Premium Power LED fixtures.

After its first parking structure Houtplein, the city of Haarlem (The Netherlands) also replaced all of its old fixtures with new LED fixtures in a second public parking garage De Kamp. The city of Haarlem chose for a greener way to illuminate their garages by using the Premium Power LEDs provided by the company RentAlite.
