The municipality of Groningen has chosen the energy-efficient LED lighting from the Dutch firm RentAlite

In car park ‘Damsterdiep’ of the City of Groningen there will be 787 Premium Power LED luminaires from RentAlite installed. The parking garage will save 40% on energy and CO2, this equals a net saving $251,626 and 2,168.237 lbs. of CO2 in 9 years ($27,958 and 240,915 lbs. of CO2 per year).

On top of the energy and CO2 savings the Premium Power LED provides a much better light display in parking garage ‘Damsterdiep’. Also, the municipality does not suffer from chemical pollution such as T8 and T5 tubes, including mercury and phosphorus. In addition, the maintenance factor greatly is reduced because the LED strips are designed to provide years of powerful light. After the lifetime of the LED strip, 80,000 hours, is finished, a new LED strip (with the latest technology) can be purchased again to repeat it for another 80,000 hours, the robust fixture will last decades.

Municipality of Enschede chose RentAlite's Premium Power LED lighting.

The municipality of Enschede The Netherlands opened up a new parking garage 'Brouwerij'. To illuminate the parking garage the City chose to install LED lighting fixtures from RentAlite. Not only generate these LED lights substantial financial savings, it is also good for the environment. The Premium Power LED light is a robust fixture and LED light in one, it contains no harmful substances such as phosphorus, mercury and lead, and gasses that damage our environment. The garage was officially opened to the public on March 1^st  and because of the installed Premium Power LEDs it became one of the first sustainable garages in the City.

Savings:
The Municipality of Enschede is saving US $25,000 and 150,575 lbs of CO2 annually by using the Premium Power LEDs of Rentalite. However, the savings are expected to be even biggerbecause the municipality of Enschede also installed Rentalite’s intelligent motion dimming systems. This means that the Premium Power LED only turns on when a car or person enters the garage. If there is no movement in the parking garage, the LED lights will switch off or dim down into a pre set dimming level. This not only leads to higher savings it also extends the lamp life.

RentAlite’s Premium Power LED lights installed in third parking garage Municipality of Haarlem

After parking garage ‘Houtplein’ and ‘De Kamp’ the city of Haarlem added a third parking garage (Station) to its portfolio in which they also installed Rentalite's Premium Power LED lights. This project Does not require any investment from The city of Haarlem, because the Municipality of Haarlem leases the LED fixtures from Rentalite and it pays the monthly fee out the savings the Premium Power LEDs generate. These green lights the city of Haarlem chose for, saves 58% on light energy and CO2. City of Haarlem replaced its second parking garage with RentAlite’s Premium Power LED fixtures.

After its first parking structure Houtplein, the city of Haarlem (The Netherlands) also replaced all of its old fixtures with new LED fixtures in a second public parking garage De Kamp. The city of Haarlem chose for a greener way to illuminate their garages by using the Premium Power LEDs provided by the company RentAlite.

Savings

The Premium Power LED fixtures are especially designed for the parking industry, these fixtures will generate 58.% of savings in energy and C02 for parking garage De Kamp in Haarlem. The 400 new Premium Power LED fixtures will generate $41,240 of annual savings for the city and 203,244 LB of C02 per year. The total investment the city has to make to acquire the Premium Power LEDs of RentAlite will be earned back within 28 months, and with a lifetime of 80.000 hours the rest of the saving will be added to the revenue.
